Fridays (through Good Friday), we are offering meat-free soup (for pick up) by the quart or the gallon. Please place your order by 11 am on Thursday. Just let us know what time you wish to pick up your order (after 11 am please).
Here is the list of the soup offerings for this week ( April 10 2009): Moroccan Tomato or Black Bean Chili or Split Pea. All soups are vegetarian – the Moroccan Tomato and the Black Bean Chili are vegan infact! If you would like to add bread, let us know in advance. The three bread varieties offered this week are: sourdough white, white or wheat baguette, or country wheat or sourdough loaf. Here’s the scoop on the pricing: soup by the quart is $7.50. Soup by the gallon is $24.00. Bread by the loaf is $4.50.
If you would like to place your order online, go to our contact page and submit your request in a message (email). In addition to the required fields, please leave your phone number, time of pick up, type of soup, quantity requested and number of loaves and type of bread you would like.
Cheers!

Okay, so what I’m about to say is nothing new, but after enjoying a delicious, comforting bowl of soup this afternoon, I’m reminded of just how good our soup is on a cold day. Not only did my bowl of curried pumpkin soup provide me with (much needed) nutrition, it provided warmth, teased my taste buds, and gave me an excuse to eat a huge hunk of wheat and rye bread, with butter of course! the CUP was fortunate enough to be named one of the top five places in Lincoln to get a great bowl of soup.
